Join us Thursday, October 28 for the series’ fifth episode, on the subject of “Democracy 101: Rethinking Civic Education” This event will feature Cynthia Miller-Idriss, director of the Polarization and Extremism Research & Innovation Lab (PERIL) at American University, Danielle Allen, director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University, and Keven Ellis, chair of the Texas Board of Education in a discussion on what it will take to ensure that everyone is equipped with the necessary democratic knowledge, values, and tools in order to fully participate in the civic and political life of their communities, moderated by former CNN correspondent Jeanne Meserve.
